Trip Itinerary, Day by Day

Six days through the spectacular landscapes of Mustang, from Kathmandu to Beni, Muktinath, Lo Manthang, Marpha, Pokhara and back to Kathmandu.

Day one

Kathmandu to Beni / Galeshwor

  • Assemble at the prescribed venue and attend the program briefing.
  • Depart from Kathmandu towards Beni.
  • Lunch will be served en route.
  • Visit Baglung Kalika Temple and the Golden Bridge.
  • Evening check-in at the hotel in Beni.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day two

Beni to Muktinath and Chhusang

  • Early morning darshan at Galeshwor Mahadev Temple followed by breakfast.
  • Depart towards Muktinath Temple.
  • Visit Rupse Waterfall, Jomsom and Kagbeni.
  • Visit the sacred Muktinath Temple.
  • Enjoy a typical Thakali lunch at Muktinath.
  • Continue to Chhusang and check in at the hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Chhusang.
Day three

Chhusang to Lo Manthang

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive towards Lo Manthang through the remote landscapes of Upper Mustang.
  • Enjoy spectacular views of traditional villages and dramatic Himalayan terrain.
  • Lunch in Lo Manthang.
  • Explore the Korala Border, Chhosar Caves and Lo Manthang Village.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day four

Lo Manthang to Marpha

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive towards Marpha through the scenic Kali Gandaki Valley.
  • Enjoy the changing landscapes of Upper Mustang along the journey.
  • Lunch en route.
  • Visit Dhumba Lake and explore Marpha Village.
  • Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Marpha.
Day five

Marpha to Pokhara

  • Morning visit to Taal Barahi Temple.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out from the hotel.
  • Depart towards Pokhara.
  • Lunch will be served en route.
  • Arrival in Pokhara and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day six

Pokhara to Kathmandu

  • Morning darshan at Taal Barahi Temple.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Enjoy some refreshment and free time around the lakeside.
  • Check out from the hotel.
  • Depart for Kathmandu.
  • Lunch will be served at Muglin.
  • Arrival in Kathmandu and end of the memorable Upper Mustang tour.
